Terms of service
The deal, in plain language.
By signing your company up for Plainsight you're agreeing to the terms on this page. We've written them in readable English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you click Add your team.

What Plainsight does
Plainsight interviews each person on your team, produces a structured map of how the team actually works, and delivers a blueprint of the AI agents we'd recommend building first. The interviews happen in a browser; the map and blueprint are delivered as a web page you and your team can revisit.
Who can use it
You can use Plainsight if you have the authority to invite the people on the team you're mapping. By signing up, you confirm that those people will be told what the audit is for and that their participation is voluntary.
You must be 16 or older to use Plainsight.
Your account, your responsibility
The leader email associated with the audit is the account owner. We send the live map link, the blueprint, and any data-related notifications to that address. You're responsible for keeping it secure and for the actions taken from your account.
Pricing
Your first team is free. If you ask us to map additional teams, run repeat audits, or build the agents the blueprint recommends, we'll quote you separately and put it in writing before any charges happen.
No surprises. No autorenewal that you didn't agree to. No price changes mid-engagement.
Your data and your map belong to you
Anything your team tells us during interviews, the structured data we extract, and the final blueprint are yours. We hold a working copy so the web app can serve them back to you; you can ask us to delete that working copy at any time.
The blueprint is non-exclusive — meaning you can take it to any vendor or build it in-house. We won't hold the map hostage to sell you the agents.
Our work and our tools
The Plainsight platform itself, the interviewer prompts, the analysis methodology, and the visual design of the map remain ours. You're licensed to use the software for your audit; you're not licensed to resell the platform, reverse-engineer it, or pass its interview agents off as your own.
What you agree not to do
- Don't use Plainsight to interview people who haven't been told what it's for.
- Don't upload material that infringes someone else's rights, breaks the law, or could reasonably be expected to cause harm.
- Don't attempt to access another company's map, interviews, or transcripts.
- Don't try to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
If we have a reasonable belief any of the above is happening, we can pause or terminate the account.
Interview confidentiality is part of the deal
We promise interview participants that their individual answers won't be shown to anyone else at the company. As the account owner, you agree to that promise too — you won't ask us to surface individually attributable transcripts to leadership, and if a participant asks us to delete their interview, we will, without requiring your approval.
Service availability
We aim to keep Plainsight available all the time. We don't guarantee it. The service depends on a handful of third parties (listed on our Privacy page); when one of them has an outage, Plainsight may briefly be affected.
If an outage prevents you from completing an audit during a paid engagement, we'll extend the engagement by the affected time at no cost.
Termination
You can stop using Plainsight at any time and ask us to delete your data. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we're ordered to suspend by a competent authority. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first.
Disclaimers
Plainsight is provided as is. The interview process surfaces patterns and recommendations; it doesn't replace your judgement about what to automate, hire, restructure, or change. We're not making a fiduciary, legal, accounting, or medical decision on your behalf — you are.
Liability
To the extent the law allows it, Plainsight and the people who run it aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Where we are liable, our total liability is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) the equivalent of one hundred US dollars.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Plainsight is incorporated. Disputes that can't be resolved through a written back-and-forth will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
[v1 placeholder — we'll fill in the specific jurisdiction once Plainsight's operating entity is finalised.]
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we'll email the leader on the account before the changes take effect.
